Bo’s Notes: Don’t really like these pictures as much due to the fact that the sky always looks white. Took the picture upside down. Not sure if whoever reading this understands what Bo means, but basically she took the picture right under the tree aiming at the sky. Errr… if that makes sense. If anyone has any suggestions on how to avoid that in the future please share your thoughts.

  1. My guess is that to get the correct exposure on the leaves, you had to blow out or overexpose the sky. Well, it seems you can do one of two things, as far as I know. 1. You can use fill flash to light up the leaves while the camera exposes more accurately for the sky, or 2. you can take two photos, the first one as you did, exposing for the sky, and the second one lowering the exposure by about two stops and getting the correct exposure for the sky but seriously underexposing the leaves. Then you merge both photos on photoshop or similar program. Hope this helps. Mitch

  2. I agree! Use photoshop to paste in a blue sky. Who knows, it might just work!
